Drift Limits Experiences - Your Questions, Answered!

Booking An Experience

How do I find out which dates the experience is running?

Available dates and times can be found on the individual experience page. Simply select the experience you’re interested in and scroll down to the booking calendar to see our current availability.

Our dates are released on a rolling basis, so if you can’t see the month you’re looking for just yet, it may simply not have been released.

Availability varies between experiences and dates can fill quickly, particularly at weekends, so we recommend booking as soon as you find a suitable date.

Will I receive confirmation of my booking?

Yes! Once you’ve placed your order, you’ll receive an automated email confirming that we have received it.

Our administration team will then process your booking and you’ll receive your full booking confirmation within 3 working days. This contains your confirmed date, arrival time, venue information and event checklist.

If you’ve booked using a third-party voucher, our team may contact you if any of the voucher information supplied is incorrect or we’re unable to redeem it.

Please check your junk or spam folder if you haven’t received your confirmation and make sure the email address supplied when booking is correct.

Please note that your selected date and time are provisionally reserved while your order is processed, so you should plan to attend unless Drift Limits contacts you to advise otherwise.

Can I change my date once it is booked?

Yes, however rebooking is subject to our Terms & Conditions and the amount of notice provided.

We understand that plans can change, so if you need to move your experience, please let us know in writing as soon as possible. Rebooking fees are calculated based on the notice provided and the applicable Driver Club price of your experience.

Our standard rebooking notice periods are:

  • 15 days or more: No rebooking fee*
  • 8–14 days: 50% of the applicable Driver Club price
  • 48 hours–7 days: 75% of the applicable Driver Club price
  • Less than 48 hours: Full applicable rebooking fee
  • After your experience date has passed: Full applicable rebooking fee

*One free rebooking is permitted where sufficient notice is provided. Further rebookings may be chargeable.

Once you tell us in writing that you wish to cancel or move your booking, your existing space will be released and made available to other customers. This means the change cannot simply be reversed afterwards, and any subsequent booking will be subject to the applicable rebooking terms.

Rebooking requests must be made in writing and cannot be accepted through social media. Your new experience must be booked within the applicable rebooking period.

We also offer an optional Cancellation Indemnity on eligible driving and passenger experiences, which provides additional rebooking protection subject to its terms.

For full information, including applicable fees, eligibility, exclusions and payment deadlines, please see our Terms & Conditions.

How do I pay for my Drift Limits experience?

Payments are made online through PayPal (you don’t need a PayPal account to pay through this method)

In some circumstances cash or online bank transfer may be accepted by prior arrangement.

Optional Extras and refreshments on site can be paid with cash or card.

We do not accept American Express.

Gift Vouchers from Drift Limits and Experience Vouchers from third parties can also be utilised as payment for select experiences.

Driving Requirements

Can I drive without a driving licence?

It depends on the experience, not having a full driving licence doesn’t necessarily mean you have to miss out!

Most of our standard adult driving experiences require participants to hold a valid driving licence. However, we also offer a range of experiences specifically designed for junior drivers and those without a full licence.

Adults without a full driving licence may also be able to complete our Motorsport Academy Licence Test, which assesses your ability to safely control a vehicle and follow circuit instructions. Successful completion can provide access to a wider range of Drift Limits driving experiences without holding a DVLA driving licence.

If you’re booking for somebody without a driving licence, please check the requirements of the individual experience before booking or contact our team if you’re unsure which option would be most suitable.

Are there any height, weight or age restrictions for this experience?

Yes, restrictions vary between vehicles and experiences. Please view our Height, Weight & Vehicle Restrictions page before booking, particularly if you have any concerns about comfortably or safely fitting within a particular vehicle.

What do I do if my voucher is for two?

We have special experiences for two participants, Blast for Two and Thrill for Two.

These experiences are unique and specially created for two participants, with only one booking required. Please put BOTH driver’s names in, separated by a / or – to clearly identify each driver.

If you have a Drifting or Stunt experience for two, you will need to make two separate bookings for the same session, on the same day using the same voucher code. One booking for each driver.

I can't attend any dates before my voucher expires!

The expiry date is more of a “book by” date, as long as the booking is submitted on our website at least 3 working days before your voucher expiry date, we should be able to honour your voucher for any available date in our calendar.

Any concerns, contact us as soon as possible.

I have a voucher but when I place my booking it is asking me to pay again?

Anyone can place a booking on our website, despite whether they hold a voucher or not.

The full cost of the experience will show until you enter your voucher code at the checkout, where the voucher will then be redeemed against the cost of the experience.

My voucher has expired, can I still use it?

If your voucher has expired please Contact Us rather than placing a booking.

Expired voucher bookings will likely be cancelled and stop other customers from taking booking slots that they require.

We’ll need your full voucher details including the following:

Voucher Provider
For example, Groupon, Red Letter Days, Wowcher, Activity Superstore, Virgin Experience Days…

Voucher Number
For Groupon, we require the Security Code, for Virgin we require the full voucher reference and the PIN. Please get in touch if you’re not sure which code to send.

Date of Expiry
The full date on which it expired.

Experience
What experience the voucher was valid for.

With these details we can look into your voucher and advise what we can do to help, or who you need to contact.
In some instances, we can assist and redeem expired vouchers, in other instances we are not able to and you will need to contact the voucher provider.

We can’t guarantee there won’t be a charge or fee, but we’ll do everything we can to help ensure that your experience goes ahead.

Preparing for Your Experience

How long should I expect to be at the venue?

We recommend allowing plenty of time to enjoy your visit and not making time-sensitive plans immediately after your experience.

Your booking time is your arrival time, rather than the exact time you will get behind the wheel. Motorsport experiences involve a number of stages including check-in, your safety briefing, sighting laps, vehicle preparation and your driving sessions.

We generally expect participants to begin their driving experience within approximately 90–135 minutes of their scheduled arrival time, although this can vary depending on the experience and the day’s activities.

Motorsport is dynamic by nature. Weather, vehicle checks, mechanical issues, circuit activity and other operational factors can occasionally cause delays, so please allow some flexibility when planning your day.

We’ll always work to keep things moving efficiently while ensuring that safety and the quality of your experience come first.

What happens if I am late?

Please arrive at the time shown on your booking confirmation to give yourself plenty of time to check in and prepare for your experience.

Our experiences operate to scheduled sessions and include a mandatory safety briefing before participants are permitted onto the circuit. If you arrive late and miss your briefing or allocated session, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate you later in the day.

Where possible, our team will always look at the options available, but this will depend on the day’s schedule and availability and may include an alternative experience or rebooking subject to the applicable fee.

We strongly recommend allowing additional travelling time, particularly at weekends and when travelling via the M1 or M25. Traffic, roadworks and delays can happen, and unfortunately we cannot delay scheduled sessions for individual late arrivals.

What do I need to wear?

Wear comfortable clothing. We suggest warm layers through spring and winter months and sunscreen and hats for summer. For anyone in an open top vehicle we would strongly advise wearing full sleeves and trousers.

It is essential you wear flat-soled, slim fitting shoes, particularly on Race Car experiences.

We unfortunately can no longer provide wet weather clothing, we ask you to bring your own if you are in an open vehicle.

Helmets are supplied and mandatory in all of our experiences.

Please note a Balaclava is required. If you do not have/bring a balaclava with you, one can be purchased from reception for £3 or we also provide hair nets free of charge.

You can wear your own helmet as long as it has the relevant Kite Mark, with the exception of Ariel Atom experiences; due to use of an intercom, you must utilise one of our helmets which is fitted with the required equipment to communicate with your instructor.

Drift Limits Branded Balaclavas, Race Gloves, hats, T-shirts, beanies and more can be purchased from our cafe.

The Experience and Venue

What are sighting laps?

Sighting laps are an important part of your experience and are essentially an extension of your safety briefing, they’re there to get you familiar with the circuit before you get behind the wheel.

You’ll head out with one of our instructors to see the circuit in action, including the track layout, braking areas, acceleration zones, passing areas and the circuit etiquette you’ll need to follow during your drive.

Sighting laps are usually completed in one of our designated track vehicles alongside other participants and are separate from the driving laps included within your purchased experience.

They aren’t designed to be high-speed passenger laps, their purpose is to make sure you understand the circuit and know what to expect before your driving begins.

Once you’ve completed your briefing and sighting laps, you’ll be ready for the exciting bit, getting behind the wheel!

How many other drivers will there be at my experience?

The number of participants at the venue will vary depending on the day, experience and circuits in operation.

Drift Limits is a multi-circuit motorsport venue, so while you’re enjoying your experience, other activities such as supercar driving, drifting, stunt driving, single seaters or rally experiences may also be taking place elsewhere at the venue.

We carefully manage the number of participants within each session and on each circuit to keep experiences running safely and efficiently, while giving everyone plenty of time to enjoy their driving.

Saturdays are typically our busiest days, so you should expect the venue to be livelier and potentially experience longer waiting periods than on quieter weekday sessions.

If you would prefer a quieter experience, we would generally recommend choosing a weekday where possible.

Can spectators come and watch?

Absolutely! We have spectator areas inside and out.

Depending on availability, they may have the chance to sit beside one of our instructors for some thrilling hot-laps in a range of cars, or even get involved with some driving of their own!

Please be aware we are predominantly an outdoor venue, there are occasions when the indoor spaces are extremely busy or in use for functions. Please dress appropriately for the weather, warm clothes are often appreciated by spectators.

Can I bring my pets to the venue?

Unfortunately, pets cannot be brought to the venue.

We’re surrounded by active farmland and have moving vehicles throughout the site, so for everyone’s safety, we cannot permit animals within the venue.

Assistance dogs are, of course, welcome.

What happens if it rains?

A little rain doesn’t stop the fun! Our experiences are designed to operate in a variety of weather conditions, and rain is not considered extreme weather.

In fact, wet conditions can add another exciting element to your experience. Driving in the wet gives you the opportunity to experience how a vehicle behaves in different conditions, helping to develop car control, confidence and an understanding of changing grip levels. Our team will adapt the experience and vehicles where necessary to ensure everything continues to operate safely.

We will only postpone or delay experiences where weather conditions make it unsafe or impractical to operate, such as flooding, ice, heavy snow or other genuinely extreme conditions.

There is no need to contact us to check whether your experience is going ahead. Unless you hear from us, your booking is running as planned. If extreme weather means we need to postpone or make significant changes to your experience, we will contact affected customers directly using the contact details provided on their booking.

So, if the forecast is showing a bit of rain, don’t worry, bring a coat and get ready to enjoy some wet-weather driving!

What facilities do you have on site?

Car parking is free and the hospitality building is accessible via ramp.

Our bathroom facilities are nearby, but are only currently accessible via steps.

The nearest all access bathroom facilities are at the very near by service station.

We have an indoor refreshment café serving hot drinks, cold drinks, basic snacks and packaged sandwiches (subject to availability)

Are there any Hotels nearby?

Yes, there are many hotels within the area, why not check out the Partnership page on our website.

We have discounts and special connections with many of them and our partnerships are increasing every month.

What happens if I damage the car?

Motorsport carries an inherent risk and, although our experiences, circuits and instruction are designed to minimise that risk, participants may be financially responsible for damage caused to a vehicle during their experience.

The applicable damage excess varies depending on the vehicle or experience booked.

For most eligible experiences, we offer an optional Damage Liability Reduction, which can be purchased in advance or before driving on the day. This reduces your financial liability for accidental vehicle damage, subject to the applicable terms and provided all safety instructions and instructor guidance have been followed.

The Damage Liability Reduction is optional and you will be given the opportunity to understand your applicable excess and available options before driving.

For full details of liability, exclusions and applicable excesses, please see our Terms & Conditions or Damage Liability Reduction information.
