Dennis Fire Engine Experiences

The Dennis Sabre Fire Engine is the first line of attack when it comes to Fire & Rescue services.

Carrying a crew of six firefighters with 2,700-litre-per-minute capacity water pumps and a three-piece extending ladder, this is the firefighters’ favourite vehicle.

Highly regarded for its reliability, robust construction and responsive handling, the Dennis Sabre was designed specifically for frontline emergency work, allowing crews to reach incidents quickly and operate efficiently under pressure.

With spacious seating for the full team, dedicated equipment lockers and excellent visibility from the cab, it remains one of the most iconic and trusted appliances used by fire services across the UK.

The latest and last model ‘Sabre’ to come out of the factory is no exception to the legacy with a reputation for it’s robust and resilient design to help save countless lives. Whether seen in museums, or even still in active service, Dennis fire engines remain an iconic piece of the UK’s firefighting heritage.

Credit to it’s incredible build quality and reliability. The engine loves to rev and can be driven hard all day long. Powered by a turbocharged Cummins 8.2-litre engine it’s surprisingly quick even considering it’s weight –  12 tonnes fully laden with it’s water tank.

Dennis Fire Engine 'Fire Fighting' Experience

Immerse yourself as part of the fire attack team in this hands on real fire fighting scenario. You’ll be fitted out in firefighting gear, suit, boots, helmet and gloves ready to respond to the ’emergency call’ and race to the scene. You’ll get to choose to either drive the Fire Engine around the circuit or go as a crew member if you do not drive. Guided by an expert instructor you’ll gain training with various pieces of fire fighting equipment so that you can safely extinguish the simulated car fire. Depending on the number in the group you’ll rotate roles such as ‘hose operator’ or ‘search and rescue lead’ to locate any ‘casualties’ from the scene. The day will conclude with a fireman’s debrief to gain insight of the crew’s performance under pressure.

This experience is ideal for corporate team-building action, hen or stag do’s or a unique gift for anyone who’s keen to experience a day in the life of a firefighter. A media team will be onsite if you wish to capture the evidence of you in the action as an optional extra.
